Hi,
I’m Stephen Tunick, I owned collected and sold knives in the mid 2000’s as THE CUSTOM KNIFE. COM
I am about to sell a designed and handmade knife chest built by Kit Carson, the great knife maker.
I bought it from a Louisiana knife dealer who was close to Kit and his family.
I’m writing for advise from you and all, just where is the best place to sell it, after all this time.
Where it would be most appreciated.
I just figured given Kit’s legacy, this chest he made, is a significant piece of art and should go in the right direction.
If you have an idea or a thought to advise me
(here is a link I think – to pictures of the chest)

Thank you,
I realize I could be shooting in the dark, but it’s a special and unknown Kit Carson creation.
Interested people who remember Kit, should appreciate it.
Yours,
Stephen M. Tunick
aka THE CUSTOM KNIFE
Stephen: Just out of curiosity did anyone respond to your message here? I’m wondering if you might not talk to Jim Behring of Treeman Knives. He has some Kit Carson daggers and swords and perhaps could offer some guidance. He was in the same situation at BLADE Show 2017. Best of luck!!
